2021 Spring Elections

Voter Registration Deadlines:
- Wednesday January 27, 2021 - The deadline to register to vote online (by 11:59pm) or by-mail (postmarked).
- Friday, February 12, at 5 p.m. - The deadline to register to vote at your clerk's office or other designated location.
- You can register at your polling place on Election Day
Absentee By Mail requests for 2021 can be made starting January 1, 2021.
Deadline to request absentee ballot: February 11, 2021
In-Person Absentee Voting:
On June 29, 2020 the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals issued its ruling in the One Wisconsin Institute case that had been on appeal since 2016.
Effective Immediately:
In-person absentee voting may be conducted beginning no earlier than 14 days prior to each election and ending no later than the Sunday prior to election day. No in-person absentee voting is allowed on the Monday prior to election day. Wis. Stat. § 6.86(1)(b).
Currently, we plan to have In-Person Absentee Voting available in the Clerk’s Office:
February 2 - February 12
hours: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
This is subject to change as we continue to monitor Covid-19 crisis.
Please enter the building using the entrance on the Windmill Plaza, access will not be available from the Grand Ave entrance. We will have strict social distancing and safety measures in place, this means a limited number of voters will be allowed in the building at a time. We are anticipating a longer wait time and voters will be asked to wait outside if we are over capacity. Please consider this when deciding how and when to vote.
The safety and health of our staff and voters is the number one priority. Availability and hours may change from day to day. We will continue to update our website and facebook should changes occur.Election Day, February 16, 2021

Absentee Requests
We still strongly encourage everyone to visit myvote.wi.gov to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. Requesting an absentee ballot is quick and very simple. We will receive your request in minutes and mail out an absentee ballot complete with instructions and return postage included, a secure drop box at Village Hall will be available to return Absentee ballots as well. You are also able to track the status of your ballot and request on my myvote.wi.gov.
If you have any problems and are unable to use myvote.wi.gov please call the Clerk’s Office at 423-3852 for assistance.
Please share this information with any family members or neighbors that may need assistance. It is our goal to ensure all Little Chute residents are able to vote safely.

General Voter Information:
All voters in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason. Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot. Voters may request their absentee ballot in writing. To request an absentee ballot on MyVote.wi.gov click here. You must provide a photo ID with your absentee ballot request, more information on photo ID can be found here. You can also request an absentee ballot by clicking this link and submitting the form to our Village Clerk, Laurie Decker.
