Jets Football Program
The Jets Football program is open to upcoming 6th, 7th, & 8th graders who want to participate in a tackle football league. The league does not encourage the "winning is everything" or "win at all costs" philosophy. This level of competition is intended to be a safe & fun experience for the players and coaches. All reasonable efforts are made by the coaches to include all players in each game.
2023 Jets Football Player Registration Packets are available in early May at Little Chute Park & Rec or it can be downloaded by clicking link below. Registration packet contains important information and forms that must be completed and returned prior to the registration deadline. There is a $75 per resident and $85 per non-resident player registration fee for Jets Football.
All players & parents are required to attend the Jets 2023 Season Meeting with coaches on Sunday, May 21 at 7:00pm in Little Chute Village Hall Community Room (details in registration packet). Prior to the start of the meeting, parents can turn in completed registration paperwork with payment if they want, otherwise must turn in by the listed July deadline. All players are required to complete the mandatory baseline concussion testing during one of the scheduled dates prior to registration deadline. All players are required to turn in their current physical paperwork to the LC High School Office by the July deadline listed. Physical forms and alternate year cards are part of the registration packet.
The 2023 Jets Football season will begin with player equipment handout on Monday, August 7 (during the day) at the Van Lieshout Rec Center, then there is a mandatory parent/player season kickoff meeting that evening at the Van Lieshout Park shelter. Players will start team practices on Tuesday, August 8. Practices are held at Van Lieshout Park, and home games are played at the Little Chute High School (1402 Freedom Road). Please note that an entrance fee is charged to attend all jets football home and away league games.

MANDATORY BASELINE CONCUSSION TEST: All jets football players are required to take a YEARLY Baseline Concussion Test in order to participate in our Jets Football Program. Test takes approximately 15 minutes, but plan on appointment taking up to 30 minutes for program instructions. A parent must be present for the child's testing session and they MUST bring their cell phone, as the child will be using it during the testing process. Cost of test is $10. To register your jets football player for one of this seasons test dates held at Little Chute Village Hall, click the "Mandatory Baseline Concussion Test" link above. Head injuries are on the rise for athletes at all levels of play. It is estimated that more than 25% of athletes will suffer a concussion during their high school career. Moreover, if the athlete has a history of concussion they are almost 5 times more likely to suffer an additional concussion during high school. These tests are to be done BEFORE a concussion occurs to establish a baseline, "or normal", cognitive and motor score. Testing is done at Little Chute Village Hall on scheduled days only.
